Our Mission
Know Personal Finance exists to make financial education accessible to everyone — especially those who have been left out of the conversation. We believe that understanding your money is a right, not a privilege, and that no one should have to pay to learn how to manage their finances.
Our Story
Know Personal Finance was founded in Akron, Ohio with a simple belief: that the gap between financial knowledge and financial hardship is often just access. Too many families are making difficult money decisions without the tools or information they need. We set out to change that — one free resource, one workshop, one conversation at a time.
What We Stand For
Free, Always
We will never charge for the financial education we provide. Our resources are free today and will remain free.
Plain Language
No jargon. No condescension. We write and teach in language that anyone can understand and act on.
Community First
We serve the communities that need us most — low-income families, individuals rebuilding, and anyone who's been overlooked by traditional financial institutions.
